Privacy policy

Morning Board runs entirely on your Mac. We do not operate a server for the app, and we never receive your tokens, pull requests, calendar or reminders.

What the app stores

• GitHub tokens you paste in, one per account, in your Mac's Keychain.
• Account names and avatars and the list of repositories you follow, in the app's own container on your Mac.
• A cache of your pull requests, CI results, today's events and top reminders, so the widget can show them without a network request.

Where data goes

The app connects to one service: api.github.com, using your token, to read the data shown in the widget. GitHub's handling of that request is covered by GitHub's own privacy statement. The app contains no analytics, advertising, crash reporting or telemetry.

Calendar and reminders

With your permission, the app reads today's events from the Calendar app and incomplete reminders from the Reminders app. It writes only one thing: marking a reminder complete when you click it in the widget. This data never leaves your Mac.

Removing your data

Remove a single account under GitHub Accounts, or everything under Privacy > Remove All Accounts and Data. macOS keeps Keychain items after an app is deleted, so use this before uninstalling. You can also revoke a token at any time on github.com.

This website

The site counts page views with Counterscale, a self-hosted, open-source analytics tool we run on Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and the counts are not shared with any analytics company. The site has no sign-in, forms or advertising.
